Art Alinda is an online platform for visual art and aesthetics. It is the brainchild of curator and researcher Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya. We are primarily based in Kolkata, but we have assembled several notable art exhibitions all around the world. Apart from exhibitions, Art Alinda has created a visual archive of nineteenth-century printmaking and various rare collections of books. We work with several artists to organise art workshops, prominently one with the National Forum of Art and Culture. Our organization also works with interior decor and design of high-end hotels. We have exhibited art from several pre-eminent artists including Shree Jogen Chowdhury, Ramendranath Chakravorty, Jamini Roy and Lalu Prasad Shaw, Himmat Shah along with contemporaries like Chandra Bhattacharjee and Samir Aich. We are also enthusiastic about working with up-and-coming artists. One of our great successes was exhibiting the mythological paintings of the nineteenth century and the nineteenth-century wood engravings depicting images from Mahabharata. Predominantly, we focus on publications, documentary and art films, and designing.
