About the Artist:
Chandan Debnath (born in Tripura in 1967) studied graphics at Rabindra-Bharati, Kolkata and worked at Emami Art, one of the globally significant contemporary art galleries. His paintings have been exhibited in different galleries around the globe. Though he resides in a metropolitan city but beholds the serenity of village life in him as a folk of Tripura. That has also been echoed in his recent works. The tranquillity of nature can be found frequently in his paintings consisting of hushed music inside, which leads his audience to a higher level of holistic consciousness of love. Even when he depicts city life that balance and serenity of colour, light and shed can be found very clearly.
